The GISH CPS Plus
Recirculating Cardioplegia System
Built-in flexibility for the evoling needs in myocardial protection
The superior cooling efficiency of the new CPS PLUS Reciculation Cardioplegia System satisfies the demands of current approaches in myocardial protection.
Efficiency
Featuring a precision-crafted heat exchanger in the thermal core, the CPS PLUS creates a minimal boundary layer for rapid heat exchange during cooling or rewarming. The Internal Recirculation System is specifically designed to cool the cardioplegia solution before and during surgery. Solution circulates at the desired temperature from the beginning of the procedure, and maintains consistent temperatures throughout. An integral temperature monitoring port provides accurate temperature readings. The unique Infusion/Recirculation Valve offers the surgeon immediate control of cardioplegia administration from within the sterile field to ensure solution availability at appropriate temperatures. Add to this a precise, simple circuit design and you have a system that is as efficient at cooling as it is easy to handle.
Flexibility
The CPS PLUS standardizes procedures while reducing the need to stock two systems. It delivers blood or crystalloid cardioplegia solutions in hypothermic and normothermic applications. The system’s large, two-liter capacity allows batching of blood and cardioplegia solutions in various ratios. And a unique burette-style reservoir provides precise fluid management of adult or pediatric patients.
Safety
The CPS PLUS provides exceptional protection during cardioplegia delivery. Gradually sloping reservoir walls ensure gentle flow. An integral bubble trap allows for air removal throughout the procedure. Combined with table-line and internal recirculation features that provide consistent solution temperatures, the CPS PLUS offers unique protection against gaseous microemboli formation, which may precipitate during the case.
GISH GRASP
Retrograde/Antegrade Cardioplegia Delivery Is Now Within Your Grasp
GRASP – Uniting Cardioplegia and Cannula with Better Control, Safety, and Convenience.
GRASP offers superior Control
| • |
Change delivery and pressure between retrograde and antegrade – with only one shift of the GRASP valve. |
| • |
GRASP combines control of pressure and delivery in one valve. No clamps. No need to bleed off pressure. |
| • |
Single hand operation helps you switch between retrograde and antegrade easily, quickly and comfortably. |
| • |
Triple lumen tubing keeps delivery and pressure lines neat and manageable. |
GRASP incorporates enhanced Safety features
| • |
Large bore tubing and connectors are designed to minimize and maximize flow. |
| • |
Clear tubing permits superior clarity and thorough debubbling. |
| • |
Isolated retrograde pressure line allows better management of coronary sinus pressure. |
| • |
Having no OFF position, GRASP helps protect upstream cardioplegia devices from over-pressurization. |
GRASP provides unparalleled Convenience
| • |
Color coded connectors make set-up easy. |
| • |
Versions are offered for Surgeon or Perfusionist control. |
| • |
GRASP attaches to a majority of cardioplegia systems available. |
| |
Table versions are offered for systems with or without conventional table lines. |
| • |
Towel clip secures the GRASP table versions for easy operation in the surgical field. |
